چکیده

• First-time study of periodic traveling waves in a taut cable resting on bilinear substrate. The problem is studied both with and without an external distributed load. Conditions for existence are obtained analytical expressions the wave shape given. Extensive numerical simulations performed to confirm solutions. stability analyzed analytically numerically novel point this work. propagation second-order nonlinear PDE , specific reference mechanical system consisting cable, or string, piecewise linear foundation investigated, distribute transversal nature offers sufficiently simple kind nonlinearity as permit closed form solution phase velocity form. We show that depends only ratio between two soil stiffnesses no propagate if one side substrate rigid.
